Is the EFP left or right?

Above all, the European Federalist Party is clearly anti-Sovereignist. Unlike some left-wing and right-wing populists, who surf the national fold to capture voices.

But federalists reject the traditional left-right divide. Why?

On the one hand, certain political issues – such as Europe – are not the preserve of the left or the right. Moreover, the traditional parties are often silent on European issues, because the opinions of the leaders of the same side are often opposed.

On the other hand, the far-reaching reform of Europe – necessary to remove exclusion and stop the waste of public money – is not a question of the left or the right. Who wants to build up deficits on the left or right? Who wants to let poverty gain ground left or right? This overcoming of divisions is now an opinion shared by our fellow citizens.

Finally, the members of the European Federalist Party come from different political backgrounds: right, left and centre.

Is the EFP for or against Europe’s enlargement to Turkey?

TheEuropean Federalist Party clearly calls for the end of Turkey’s accession process to the European Union. This choice is dictated by two considerations.

First of all, the electoral choices made by the Turkish people have gradually led Turkey to move away from the accession criteria (restriction of press freedom, threat to the rule of law, etc.).

On the other hand, for the European Federalist Party, the continuation of EU enlargement to increasingly heterogeneous states would be a risk for the stability of the EU itself.

We are hardly visible in the media, why?

The European Federalist Party does not benefit from public subsidies, on the other hand, large parties that carry out expensive campaigns at great expense. All our financial resources come from membership fees and donations from our members. For the time being, therefore, we can only finance modest campaigns and actions.

On the other hand, we are also being ostracized by the media, which only devotes its airtime to the largest political parties and denies their airtime to those groups that carry new and original ideas.
